WELCOME TO 78MADISON…
January 2016

As most of you are aware, I purchased Chisano Marketing Group in November 2014, and on the surface, little changed for staff or clients. Yet with the purchase came a refreshed philosophy about how we would conduct business moving forward, and now one year later, a new name.

SOME END OF YEAR THOUGHTS...
December 2015

As we rapidly approach the conclusion of 2015, I have begun thinking about where the year has gone, how quickly it has passed and what I did or did not accomplish. Each December typically finds me thinking about holidays, gifts, parties and friends, as well as the closing out of another business year…a time to look back on the year we are leaving and look forward to the next.

A NEW NAME - 78MADISON
December 2015

As most of you are aware I purchased Chisano Marketing Group in November 2014, and with that purchase came a refreshed philosophy about who we were and how we were going to work together as a team on behalf of our clients. Frankly the renewed spirit among our staff has been refreshing and inspiring at the same time.

LONGING TO BE INSPIRED...
December 2015

Every December my wife and I watch the 1954 movie classic “White Christmas” with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye (music by Irving Berlin). In a nutshell, the guys put on a Christmas show bringing their old Army unit to Vermont to surprise their former commanding officer (now a struggling innkeeper – played by Dean Jagger). The look on Major General Tom Waverly’s face when he sees the men from the 151st Division gathered to honor him gets me every time.

13 REASONS TO LOVE THANKSGIVING
November 2915

It is has come to my attention that Thanksgiving just doesn’t get the attention it deserves; I’m not really sure why. Maybe it’s because the holiday falls between Halloween and Christmas, two occasions people really put a lot of effort into. But for me, Thanksgiving is as good as it gets, and I have come up with 12 reasons why this, my friends, is THE HOLIDAY of holidays.

November 2015
.
The holiday season is once again upon us, and this year marketers have an unprecedented opportunity to sell in a different way. For the first time in history, consumers over 50 make up the majority (51%) of all consumer spending, according to recently released data from the U.S. Consumer Expenditure Survey.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR SEARCH
November 2015

For years, search has been relatively simple – well, for a non-technical guy like me – and lucrative. Of course no secret that search has been dominated by Google, and performed on desktop devices. But have you noticed the massive shift, from traditional search?

The search landscape is absolutely fragmenting.

WHATS THE BENEFIT OF USING A PUBLIC RELATIONS PROFESSIONAL?
November 2015

Today’s public relations professionals have skills that propel them much further than the traditionally perceived media relations guru who can write a press release and has key media contacts. The perception of those outside of the public relations industry is what has often leant itself to gratuitous criticism and unattainable results.

SOME THOUGHTS ON CREATIVITY
October 2015

I sat in a creative department meeting yesterday…we had some refreshing dialogue about a lot of subjects. One in particular has application to the rest of the agency, i.e., the importance of our creative product to long-term growth.

Obviously we talk a lot about creativity here…and there appears to be a constant battle between those who are dedicated to making sure we do what we know the client will buy, and those who are dedicated to doing something new, different, out-of-the-box.

38 YEARS OF WISDOM?
September 2015

Last night I gave a 10 minute chat to the Orlando Chapters of AD2 and AD FEDERATION. It took place at a restaurant/bar called Embers, and it was just a very relaxed casual setting. Honestly it was a bit of an experiment on their part - having someone speak for 5 to 10 minutes in an outside, somewhat noisy open environment. I was the guinea pig. It was fun.
