JACKSON CLEMMER, 78MADISON INTERN, SITS DOWN
WITH HIMSELF AND ASKS THE TOUGH QUESTIONS
August 2017

Full disclosure: Jackson was an intern at 78Madison during the summer of 2016. Somehow we failed to get this most interesting interview into the public; so here it is!

What is your role at 78Madison?
Officially, I’m an account service intern, but I wear a few hats, and answer to a lot of names. Photo-resizer, blogger, copywriter, proofreader, newsletter-writer, frantic-ice-cream-truck-chaser; I really just do what needs to get done.

Give our readers some basic background information.
Alrighty. I’m a Junior at Grove City College in Pennsylvania, where I study Entrepreneurship, with a focus in Marketing. I grew up and live in Orlando. I love listening to, playing, and writing music.

Wow. I never would have known that about you. Does your interest in marketing inform your approach to music?
Funny that you ask, because it does! I believe strongly that marketing and music are both about connecting with people – if I can write in a way that’s relatable and compelling, just like an ad or product that connects, people will enjoy my music. I can create value that way.

Got any quirky office stories?
I have an affinity for fun socks, so once everyone realized that, it’s become a morning ritual for everyone to check my ankles.

What socks are you wearing today?
My American flag ones, stars up top, stripes all the way down.

Give me 3 words to rephrase this question more succinctly
“Say 3 words.”

Brilliant.
