December 2015

As most of you are aware I purchased Chisano Marketing Group in November 2014, and with that purchase came a refreshed philosophy about who we were and how we were going to work together as a team on behalf of our clients. Frankly the renewed spirit among our staff has been refreshing and inspiring at the same time.

To be honest, we had no idea what was in store for us as we embarked on this new journey of discovery. In fact, as we enter year two of our endeavor, it still seems so new, fresh and exciting; so much so that we’ve decided it was time to make a final transition to a new name - to go along with our renewed energy and vision.

On January 1, 2016, our agency name will officially become 78MADISON. Why that name?

• In our business, Madison Avenue still resonates as the cornerstone of our industry.
• Madison, as in avenue, connotes advertising and marketing at its best.
• The name is a bit retro, coming off the success of the AMC hit series Mad Men.
• But most of all, 78Madison highlights where it all started for me – a 38 year career that began in 1978 at Compton Advertising on Madison Avenue in N.Y. So from my perspective it is
both strategic and personal.

We wanted you to know about the name change first since you have been an integral part of our success.

The name change to 78Madison will of course not change the culture of our agency. We will continue to be a team of marketing specialists who share a common bond – a passion to do great work on behalf of our clients. Sometimes it will be an ad. Sometimes a website, app, blog, direct mail piece, social media campaign, radio spot, Internet banner, or one of the million other things we create. Other times it won’t be advertising at all. But at all times, it will be strategies and solutions as diverse as our client base; all intrusive and compelling.

We look forward to 2016 and beyond.
