Why do we love hotels? Personally I have many reasons, the least of which is that I own an advertising agency that has a deep focus on travel and destinations – hotels. I recently stayed at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club on business, but wished I was on vacation. Oh my, everything about the destination was perfect – the weather, the soothing gulf breeze, the sun, the beach, my door wide open on the balcony overlooking the coast. I just wanted to play and not work.
The thing I appreciate most about hotels however, other than not having to make the bed or cook, is the access they provide to great destinations – in this case Naples, Florida. Hotels and resorts just have a way of opening up to places that you otherwise simply would not be able to experience, or at least experience in any degree of comfort.
The point is destination (vacation) hotels are much more than a place to rest your head. They offer guests a range of compelling excursions, from shopping to deep sea fishing, hiking, state parks, museums, bird watching, sailing and more. Plus there are often experts at the hotel/resort who can help you make the most of those experiences. If you truly find that perfect hotel, you will likely have found that central location that will allow you to tap in to so much, so easily; a location that easily connects you to people, places and enriched experiences.
Here’s hoping you find a hotel to lead you to your next adventure.
